The House Rules

With our only child now three, and able to understand basic right from wrong - we are starting to establish our house rules. You know; be nice, don't swear, wash your hands, eat all your dinner, go to bed on time etc etc. She is starting to learn them all, but what better way to reinforce the message than by displaying it in your home?

I have found some super sweet variations which have been the perfect inspiration.

Aren't these just the sweetest!! Do you have house rules? Do you display them in your home?

They really are sweet - great inspiration! Yes, we do have rules but not displayed like this - however my oldest son has his goals for school written down. That was something his class got to do with the teacher and I do think it´s great to remind himself. :-)

I found you from my sister's (swirls of happy) blog. How adorable is this idea! We have an 8 and 6 year old boy so there are definetly rules reinforced, but I love the simple kindness in this manner. I like to display rules on a DIY chalkboard I made in my kitchen. My boys love the words of wisdom I write on it. I actually did a post on my blog about it. Thanks for letting me stop by. I enjoy your writing!

This is such a great idea!!! I think there should always be house rules...and when it is displayed so cute? Extra bonus!!! What a great post! XO. Love this.

Those are all great messages, and important things to teach for a child and build her morals! I was raised to hold doors and say thank you and I still can't not believe when I see people being rude, not holding doors or not offering their seats to elderly - I guess it is all what the parents teach! The world would be a better place if all parents had those rules...

Hugs & kisses from Rio!
